The home is situated within the 3,000 acre resort community known as Rumbling Bald Resort on the north end of Lake Lure. Bald Mountain Lake Lodge sits on a large parcel of land on the edge of Bald Mountain Lake. The grounds are level with a gentle slope and steps leading to the waterfront and dock.
The entry level offers a comfortable living area with a beautiful stone fireplace and patio doors that open onto the screen porch. There are two guest bedrooms and a full bath just off the living area. “Sadie's Garden” Guest Room accommodates a queen bed. The other guest room, “Bearberry” accommodates a very comfortable double bed. On the opposite side of the main living area and one step down, is a spacious kitchen; complete with all the necessities to make sure you have everything you need to prepare meals for large or small groups. The kitchen overlooks the “Gathering Room” that serves as a family dining and gathering area. Just off the “Gathering Room” is a half bath, steps that lead both to the upper and lower levels, and a Master Bedroom called “Magnolia Wood”. This pretty woodsy bedroom has a king size log bed and a private full bath with shower.
The upper level accommodates two Master Suites. The first is called, "Mountain Moonlight". This spacious room has a king bed and daybed for your convenience we have added a small microwave, and TV. A full bath with tub and separate shower are located within this suite. The second Master on this level is our “Sassafras” room. This delightful room has a queen size log bed, television, and a very pretty private bath with a shower.
The lower level features large family room, perfect for TV viewing, with a small game table and lots of board games. Also on this lower level is a bedroom we call, "Native Dance” This room offers a queen bed and a private bath with a tub/shower combination. A covered porch and laundry room with a large capacity washer and dryer, complete the lower level floor plan.
The seventh bedroom is what we call the "Smokey Mountain Bunk and Billiard Room” This spacious room is located just outside the main level screen porch and deck and is only accessible from the exterior. This room accommodates a bunk bed with twin on top and full on the bottom. A futon is also located in this room. The billiard table, a television, and an extra refrigerator are provided as well as a half bath. This space is a convenient and great area for sleeping kids or teens.
The grounds of the Lodge have been designed to accommodate a large family group, with an outdoor cooking center that has both gas and charcoal grills, a fire pit, and nice seating areas. A large grassy area provides a terrific spot for horseshoes and volleyball.
The waterfront is easily viewed from the cooking center so that you can keep an eye on swimmers. A large dock on the water plus a long fishing side pier provides lots of room for sunbathing and fishing. A Hot Tub, Canoe and 2 Kayaks are provided. There is a PONTOON BOAT on Lake Lure, docked at the resort marina for your use. A short course in boating safety and boat operation will be provided by our BOAT MASTER upon check-in.
