  I would like to have seen a little more attention to detail in cleanliness/ maintainence. We had burned out lightbulbs, no diswasher cubes and food (peanuts) under the couch. We loveded "Bliss" and may come back!!

  The house was really fun, and we loved the floating dock! Suggestions for improvement: Cleaners were at the property when we arrived at 5:00pm, when it was supposed to be ready at 4:00. But they were courteous and the place was clean (except the bathrooom
  rugs could have used a wash). The advertised 'wade the creek and walk to the resort' was a bit misleading. The creek area was too weedy to consider walking across. But we did enjoy the place, and used the canoes to get to the resort. We had 6 people and only
  4 resort passes, but it turned out OK. But overall it was a great place, I just wanted to pass along the suggestions to the management.

  Lake Lure - Beautiful Country

  We totally enjoyed our stay in Lake Lure. We rented through Lake Country Vacation Rentals and just had a great experience. It is some of the most beautiful country you will find. We went with another family and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We plan on going back again next year.

  We had a fabulous week and hope to return. We were surprised at how spacious and beautiful the house is, even more than we expected from the pictures! We loved the peacefulness of the house, the fun of the lake and canoes, and being able to enjoy the resort. It is a house with much to offer for busy families and gave everyone plenty of room as well- the kids played board games every night in "their" den downstairs. The only suggestions would be some additional and updated kitchen equipment (pots/pans, mixing bowls etc). It is rather limited if cooking for a crowd. It is a charming place and we hope to return for many years.

  Wonderful annual Girls' Weekend

  I have always trusted the staff at LCVR in Lake Lure. And once again they picked a wonderful, fun place for me and my friends to spend the weekend. It rained most of the weekend but we still enjoyed the house and it's wonderful view from the screened in back porch. The beds were very comfortable. My only suggestion would be maybe a few more TVs in the house for those rainy days.

  It was an amazing stay, the house is so comfortable and perfect for 8 people and 2 kids! The amenities are simply unbelievable. It was the most perfect vacation we ever had, it was just too short to enjoy everything.
  There was a maintenance issue at one point, the AC was not turning on, and the maintenance crew fixed it in just a few hours even on a holiday weekend.
  Thank you, we already made reservations for next year!

  Our family includes a large age span: 83 years to 3 years. The house and resort amenities provided something for everyone. The house location was quiet, but conveniently located to outdoor activities and shopping.

  We are four married couples that love to hike and fish. This location is perfect for both those activites plus it is very close to Asheville and Biltmore. We do enjoy cooking, so for us, the kitchen wasn't as well equipped with casserole dishes and serving bowls. We have learned to bring our own. The front portion of the decking at the front door is in disrepair and needs immediate attention. Otherwise the house was really lovely. Nice comfortable rooms and great outdoor spaces. The folks at Lake Country Vacation Rentals were wonderful. They were very accomodating and helpful from the rental process through checkout. We will definitely check with them first when we want to return to North Carolina

  Bliss by the Lake is a great home, I hope you return in the future. The outside decking you were speaking of was repaired and thank you for bringing that to our attention! The owners of this home have also recently added another kayak as well as volleyball net, and a firepit for roasting marshmellows in the evenings.

  we had AC problems, they sent a guy to check it out promptly.
  The only negative was that its not clear in the ad, the lake is not Lake Lure but another smaller one. You have to drive to get back to Lake Lure.

  I would definitely stay in this property again. In fact, I wish I owned it! The property was clean and spacious. At first, I was disappointed in the view, butgrew to like the location. Most mornings were spent on the boat dock with a cup of tea. It was very relaxing.
