We love this secluded place in the woods near the creek. The house is even better now (after the renovation), just a pity that the library is missing now – it was making this place very special for anybody who likes nature, and quiet time with books.

The Quiet at Saluda Falls

We have stayed at Saluda Falls many, many times over the past 15 years. It is a favorite place for our family to relax and enjoy each others company. We like the isolation and the wonderful rocky water flowing past.

We would come back. We loved the seclution and the waterfall, etc. There was some maintaince being done on the deck , but it didn't interfere with our stay. One of the things we would have liked to have the availablity of TV downstairs and local stations for weather, etc. Also the toilet upstairs flushed hot water.

Our family has stayed at Saluda Falls many times over the last 13 years and hope to return many more times. The furniture has been updated and we appreciate the fact that we no longer have to bring our own linens. We miss the swing that was on the front porch and wish there was more lighting in the living room area. A floor lamp and a table lamp would be nice. Currently the only lighting is from the loft spotlights.

I have to say that was absolutely satisfied with our stay at Saluda Falls and we hope rent the place again. The only reason I rated "general condition" and "cleanliness" lower was because of the broken window incident that occurred just prior to our stay. Bill w/ maintanence was fantastic about responding to board up the window but my concern was that housekeeping advised they had just left when we checked in and that the property was ready. We arrived to find glass shards in the carpet of the loft, the staircase and the downstairs living room. The vacuum cleaner did not have a belt and there was no broom so cleaning up the mess required a trip to Ingles. Overall, this was minor inconvenience and the remainder of the week was FANTASTIC!!!!!!

This was the most wonderful, relaxing, peaceful, non-stressful vacation we have ever had. The property is very private, the creek is cold, and the mountains are just absolutely beautiful. We loved it and will come back again and again. I would totally recommend Saluda Falls to anyone looking for a romantic, peaceful getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Saluda Falls. We dumped so much stress so quickly that it was unbelievable. We actually felt "giddy" most of time. We were so relaxed that we were almost too lazy to get up and enjoy the sites of the area.Each time we went up and down the road to the cabin, we played a game with a local dog,to see if we got an apple,or if he got a "bite" - lol! We never got bitten! This definately wasn't a hetic busily scheduled vacation full of things you felt you had to do. In fact, it was great when people asked us what we did there - and our answer was relax,relax, relax.

Wonderful vacation. We caught rainbow trout from the creek behind the house, picked lots of blackberries, rode the 4-wheelers we brought from home, hiked all over, panned for gold (we actually found some), visited the local attractions and lots of other things. Wish we could've stayed longer.
