  Overall the property and home were very comfortable. The view was beautiful. The leaves were off the trees and you can see the Lake and Chimney Rock very well. There were a few items that need fixed/updated... the bottom shelf of the refrigerator door kept falling off. The door knob on the downstairs bathroom falls off. My only disappointment was not having a shower upstairs (with two bedrooms).

  True to the photos, this cabin was super sweet. Very clean and plenty of space. Loved the screened porch, especially during the thunderstorm that took out power in Lake Lure! We had to make a trip to the corner store for candles, but power did come back on later that night. The beds were ALL so comfortable. Nice decor. Wish they'd provide little every day things like dish soap and a few more rolls of t.p. and paper towels, and maybe small bar of soap for the shower. All in all a great spot, convenient location, peaceful and quiet. We had a great time! Thank you!

  My family and I enjoyed our stay while at Lake Lure. We were located near the lake as well as the store and restaurants. In the morning, you would wake up to lovely view of the mountains. The Cottage was rustic with all the modern conveniences of home.

  Affordable and off the beaten path.

  The house was a great setting for off the water with tremendous views of Chimney Rock State Park. I would recommend to bring a telescope or binoculars. The tall trees surrounding the house are filled with many turkey vultures that love to catch the breezes at dusk and after storms.
  The beach is only a five minute walk (maybe longer with little children) away. It was way to crowded on the weekend but a lot more private Monday Through Thursday.
  If you want to spend the day on the water and you don't have a boat I recommend you call Lake Lure Adventure Company instead of Lake Lure Marina. They are only a little less expensive but their hours of operation are from sun up to sun down. The cabin is lake life so be prepared if it is to hot b/c the cabin cooled by your typical noisy window A/C systems but it is comfortable and you will always have something to do.

  Lake Lure was beautiful! We could see Chimney Rock and the lake from the cottage. The beds were comfortable and the house was spotless. Very nice!

  Since this property does not have direct lake access, I highly recommend renting a pontoon boat to cruise the lake!

  We were very pleased with this rental; the location was terrific, and the house was roomy and comfortable. The pictures on the website don't do justice for this property. It was much nicer than we anticipated! We would love to rent this house again in the future.

  We had a great weekend. The property was fantastic and so were the views. It was in a very convenient and central location. The only reason I rated it a 4 is because next time we'd like to stay right on the lake. Otherwise, it was perfect!
