Upon arriving we were thrilled with the Clipper Inn. A few hrs later we came down with the Norwa Viris and 4 of us were very sick. The fact that this house had separate facilities downstairs kept the 8 other people from being sick. We gave thanks in spite of sickness that we were so comfortable. The master suite was great! Fireplace was working. The great room fireplace didn't work properly which would have been nice for others. I would also suggest some clothes hangers in closets and blankets on the beds upon arrival. Propoerty Mgr. Bill was very accomodating and the Dish Cable man was above and beyond what was expected! Thanks for a pleasant vation in spite of ourselves! God is good and provided us with a glorious view and safe travels.

The only thing is that the dryer did not stop by itself. This could have been dangerous if one in our party had not noticed....The clothes got extremely hot! FIRE HAZZARD

I brought a group of close friends to celebrate my 50th birthday and we had a fabulous time at the Clipper Inn! The house, decks and outdoor space was perfect for us to be together. Loved the screened in porches for our dinners. The floats on the lake
were terrific. The pontoon boat engine was a little tempermental but all worked out. Bill could not have been nicer and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at such a great place!! It will be a birthday I
will always remember.

TV and speakers ahrd to operate, many blinds shot, 4th burner on grill not working, grill brush shot, the floating dock never showed up, the boat did not match the house, the house size was good, the location was good, great view of fireworks,

My family and I enjoyed everything about our stay. This home was so cozy and peaceful.The only thing that was disappointing with our stay, was that we could not light the fireplace. Thank you all your fine staff for helping our Holiday be a great 1.

We loved the house, boat, location, etc. the AV stuff was a pain and the fireplace smoked in the living area. (we replaced the filters, which were very dirty). Other than that, a good time was had by all. Thanks. If we could afford it, we would do it agian next year, but it's on the back burner for now.

We loved the Clipper Inn and had a wonderful week. The only major issue we experienced was with the Pontoon Boat. It would not start on Sunday, so we esentially had one day without the boat. It was repaired late Sunday evening. The only other issue was minor - there were no oven mitts or dish towels. We had to use the bathroom linens for this purpose. Overall we were very satisfied and would rent the Clipper Inn again.

The home was gorgeous and spotless. The staff was great. We did not realize that most of the porperties on Lake Lure have a very steep drop to the lake. That meant no yard for our grandchildren to play in and many steps to constantly climb. Even though the lake is beautiful the geography of the land is very bad for families with small children.
