  Bald Mountain Lake Lodge was a great property for the five couples who for fifty years have tried to spend a weekend together once a year. As we have aged, having enough bathrooms for each couple was important and the gathering spaces and kitchen/dining area easily accomodated us all for great sharing, discussion, and singing. This was our second time at Bald Mountain Lodge - lots of fun!

  Bald Mountain Lake Lodge was the perfect destination for our family springbreak vacation. There was plenty of space and activities to keep both adult and kids entertained. By day we enjoyed the lake and outdoor amenities such as canoeing / kayaking, relaxing in the hot tub or playing horseshoes. By night we enjoyed the bunk house with pool table and games or sitting around the firepit roasting marshmallows. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans and dishes. The house was tastefully decorated. There were several outdoor areas where you could relax and read a book or just take in the beautiful scenery. We would diffently love to come back again!

  We were all very satisfied with the home. Check in was annoying as we were there at 4:00 and no keys or anyone to ask - we had to find a cell phone that worked and call to get the keys Other than that everything was great.

  We had some minor issues but the owners and management were great people to work with and solved these problems quickly. It is a beautiful area with lots of activities - Chimney Mountain, Zip Line, horseback riding, Biltmore and ofcourse the pontoon boat

  We had a fabulous time at Bald Mountain Lake Lodge. The house was perfect for our big group. Loved being on the water and the smaller kids had a blast in the little pool (hot tub). Had some issues with the power going out when the dryer and any kitchen appliance were on at the same time, but learned the breaker panel real fast. Great house otherwise!! Highly recommend it!!

  50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration with family

  Our family of 16 (7 children and 9 adults) celebrated our 50th anniversary. Excellent accomodations, super location (quiet part of lake) with plenty to keep everyone content and happy. We took a couple of day trips and golf outings but remained on property most of week. We experienced a couple of electrical problems that were handled quickly. Great response from management. The kids enjoyed the floats, boats, fishing, game room and fire pit. Would go again!

  We loved our stay and would come back again! My only recommendation is to please be careful cleaning up mouse urine and droppings. We found a lot of it in kitchen drawers (mixed with utensils) and in bathroom drawers and cabinets.

  We've been gathering every few years for almost 50 years. This house offered all four couples a bedroom with private bath, not always easy to find. The amenities were great, hot tub, fire pit, outdoor seating and grilling; it is a great place to spend time together!

  This is the 3rd year we have spent the Easter break at this gorgeous house. My teenage boys love the big basement,separate pool room and outdoor hot tub. Lazy days are spent canoeing on the lake. A wonderful house and a wonderful town.

  A New Year's to Remember!

  There were several families that rented this home together...children and all. We had an absolutely wonderful time making great memories. This house is awesome and we felt right at home immediately. Not to mention that it is beautiful and surrounded by more beauty. It is even prettier that the photos! It was very cold out and we weren't able let the teens sleep out in the bunk room where the portable heater stated "do not sleep with this unit on". But they were able to enjoy it right up until time for bed. Then it was time to begin blowing up the air mattresses. We hope to return again and again but will bring our own heater.That was our only negative.
  This was everything we had hoped for and much more!

  The location was awesome. The lake was beautiful and the boat was great fun. The hot tub didn't quite function properly nor did the ice maker. But all in all the house was awesome with plenty of room and bathrooms in each. There was a pool table and the greatest outdoor firepit. I would certainly return!

  My extended family thoroughly enjoyed its stay at Bald Mountain Lake Lodge. The house is spacious and beautiful. Having the pontoon boat available was a fabulous extra, and we loved taking it out on Lake Lure. My children used the canoe and kayak daily as well. Access to resort amenities was a big plus to my other family members.
  
  There had been a problem with a leak into the dining room ceiling from the previous renters, but the rental company did everything in its power to find and solve the problem before we moved in and we had no problems. Everyone at Lake Country Vacation Rentals was very friendly and helpful.

  Other than minor inconveniences like dealing with electric overloads apparently caused by the dryer, and a temporary "crisis" with insufficient A/C in the teenagers room, we had a great stay. You responded well to any call, so thanks for a good week!

  Our vacation at Bald Mountain Lake Lodge was fantastic!!!! The house was very well layed out to allow plenty of space for everyone to have a bit of time to themselves. The bunk room was the perfect ansere for 3 teenage boys.!!!

  Great location, access to the bald resort is key. Only dissapointment was the very poor condition of the canoe's / kayaks on the property...not very usable.

We keep an older canoe in our lake shed that we hope to repair as soon as things slow down. We noticed that the older canoe had been pulled from the shed by someone in your group.   Bald Mountain Lake Lodge is an excellent place to hold a large family gathering. The Lodge accomodated our group and provided a wide variety of recreational activities at the lodge, on Bald Mt. Lake and at Rumbling Bald Resort on Lake Lure. We also enjoyed outings to nearby attractions such as Chimney Rock.

  We had a really good time and enjoyed the house that we rented. The house does need a very good spring cleaning. Behind sofas, around windows outside and inside, a good power wash around the home would help and also around the decks. screened in porch. The upstairs fireplace would not start and the grill does need soem mantaince. Overall, we had a really great time!

  The house itself was great - plenty of space for lots of people. I was, however, a little disappointed with some of the quality of things as well as the amenities provided. For example, linens were included but for some reason this did not include any kitchen linens. Only one dish towel when we arrived. Also, we were provided only one trash bag. With a home this size to accommodate such a large number of people, I would think that such basic amenities would be standard.

  This home is great for large groups of people! We do supply each guest with a starter supply of the following: Dish detergent, dishwasher powder, trash bags, "handi-wipes" a sponge, toilet tissue, and paper towels. In order to make it easier on our guests checking in not to have to purchase these items when they first arrive.

  The only issue is: there really needs to be a ladder on the dock in the lake. It is quite a hazard getting out of the water - especially for kids and older folks. The house and deck area were outstanding. House was very clean. Easy access to the pontoon boat on Lake Lure.

  THERE WERE A FEW MAINTENANCE ISSUES THAT WE HAD TO DEAL WITH THAT SEEMED TO WASTE SOME OF OUR PRECIOUS TIME. HOWEVER THE HOME WAS BEAUTIFULLY FURNISHED AND EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE FOR A LARGE CROWD.   We had 12 adults and 6 children ages 9 months to 14 years old and this house was the perfect setting. The patio is very secure with the fence - perfect for the smaller kids to play without worry. The lakefront lawn/docks were a nice place to get away or fish. The layout and size of the house made it possible to be alone or with a group at any time. Only minor problems were the ice maker and grill being not in great shape and difficult to get to work sometimes. Would like some instructions for dishwasher and washer/dryer too. Maybe posted on the wall? Overall, a wonderful trip. Many hours spent around the firepit at night talking and laughing - just what we were hoping for.

  This was a dream vacation for our family. Bald Mountain is a very big house that is nicely furnished. The separate, large pool table room was a big hit with the teenagers. The patio is gorgeous and huge. The lake is beautiful and the kids loved canoeing. My husband loved the Rumbling Bald golf courses. Although this a far car drive for us, we would absolutely go back again and stay in the same house. LOVED IT!

  Our vacation started as a disaster.The house we rented had no power because of a storm the night before. But, your fantastic staff worked non-stop to find us another available property. They were apologetic and understanding. They put us in a wonderful house which was beautiful and full of amenities we would not have had at the original house.   Everything was great except the water level of the lake. I know it had nothing to do with the rental property but that was why we rented that house.   We have booked our family reunion here for two years. The property is wonderful and perfect for our active group. The patio is divine. The first time we stayed there, the hot tub was out of order. The second year we were there, we were disappointed with the general cleanliness of the house (but, hopefully that has been addressed. Also, the second year we were there, the canoe was in disrepair (seat was missing some screws).

  Every year the women in our family get together for a week of fun in Lake Lure.
  The house we stayed in was PERFECT!! There is 12 of us. We had plenty of room inside the house. But the outside of the house was FANTASTIC. You have a screened in porch, if that wasn't enough you have a GORGEOUS patio complete w/ fire pit, rockers, and an outside kitchen. From the patio you have a path to the dock for swimming!! We loved this house!! We would recommend it to any family or a group of friends(large or small).

  The only issue we had with the house was with the air conditioning. I think with a house this size you need two units. To cool the upstairs you had to freeze the downstairs people. Otherwise it was a wonderful house in a beautiful setting.

  We had a wonderful time at Bald Mountain Lake Lodge. We celebrated our daughters 40th birthday. There were 6 families in our party - 16 people and we had plenty of room for everyone. Each family had the privacy of their own bedroom area. There was plenty of entertainment for everyone to enjoy from the hot tub, pool table, fishing, games, TV's, etc. We especially enjoyed puttering around the lake and the outdoor fireplace and grill area. The kitchen was well equipped as were the linens for the bathroom and bedroom. Our stay was too short. We didn't get a chance to go for a ride on the pontoon boat, but it was available with key in hand had we had the time. Have recommended the Lodge to several friends and family members. Hope to have a chance to go back this fall.
