  We recently spent a week in your lovely house, Southern Comfort. My family thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We had a few concerns when we got there that were immediately addressed and taken care of by Bill and Tom. My only reccomendation for future renovations is the deck and ladder into the lake. These are the two areas that need attention. Otherwise I found the property to be more than I had hoped for and one of the best we have been to in our travels.

  Overall, quite satisfied with the Lake Lure property. Interior and comfort met all expectations. Very well suited for 6 adults. Locations was great. Exterior needs some upkeep on decking and stairs. Drive way was a significant challenge.

  Wonderful Week in a Great Home

  Our family spent a week at Southern Comfort. The home is in a perfect location and well equipped. We spent nearly every hour of every day on the lake or on the decks. If you have teenagers, bring entertainment, Lake Lure is a sleepy town.

  Facing south for warm evening sunsets. We loved to be able to canoe to the nearby restaurant on the water.
  Don't forget your hand soap and other essentials. Although... there is a major grocery store about 2 miles away.
  Highly recommended.

  We had a great time. The weather couldn't have been better! The location of the house was great. Close to everything.
  
  It would have been helpful if the house had a book with general house and area information, like maybe some menus from restaurants, area attraction information and other helpful phone numbers. We didn't even find a phone book in the house. If nothing else, this would have been helpful.
  
  All in all, it was a great time and we'll be back!

  Wonderful house to rent. It was perfect. Couple of things that would have make it more "homey": More kitchen utencils, there were no hot pads to remove hot pans from the oven, tongs, serving platers.
